Tempozan Ferris Wheel Osaka
Tempozan Ferris Wheel Osaka
Do you know that there are two ferris whell in Osaka? You can find the Tempozan Ferris Wheel at Tempozan Harbour Village and there is a mini ferris wheel called Hep 5 Ferris Wheel in the Umeda commercial district of Kita-ku.
The Tempozan Ferris Wheel Osaka opened to public on July 1997 and it was the tallest Ferris Wheel in the world.
The Tempozan Ferris Wheel is at the height of 112.5 metres (369 ft) and diameter of 100 metres. It is located next to the famous Osaka Aquarium Kaiyukan which is also one of the largest aquariums in the world.
It is very easy to go to Tempozan Ferris Wheel as it is just a couple of minutes of walking from Osakako Train Station. It is just a couple of blocks away and it is always windy here as this is the bay area.
For those who are not familiar with Osaka, you can actually use the Osaka Amazing Pass so you can get free entrance to Tempozan Ferris Wheel and many other attractions and also unlimited subway and train rides in Osaka. You can pick it up at Kansai International Airport and order at https://www.kkday.com/en/product/20763?cid=8500
What we did is just show them the Osaka Amazing Pass and get free entrance to the ferris wheel. It is a huge ferris wheel and the entire ride took around 17 minute.
You can get the view of Osaka Bay and surrounding area which inclue Mount Ikoma, Akashi Kaikyo Bridge, Kansai International Airport as well as Rokko Mountains.
It is very windy when you get to the top and the view here is breath taking. We know there are many places in Osaka with the view but this is another level.
17 minutes for a ride will give you enough time to do live or take as many photos as you can for your IG.
Is it worth to visit Tempozan Ferris Wheel? Hell yes, but do spare some time to visit the famous Osaka Aquarium Kaiyukan next door as we didn’t manage to do so.
