The restaurant is located at  22-24, Jalan 2/89c, Off Jalan Chan Sow Lin 4. It is pretty hidden from the main Chan Sow Lin road but it is somewhere off Jalan Chan Sow Lin 4. The map is below and it is pretty easily to located them now via Google Map.

Chong Yen Steamed Fish Head Restaurant is very popular in Chan Sow Lin. Despite its hidden location, it is often packed with their loyal customers.

Their signature Steamed Fish Head with Garlic and Ginger and this is good. Why so many people love their steamed fish head with garlic and ginger because they steamed the fish to perfection and right texture and the fish is fresh. Steamed with garlic and ginger, you can taste the juiciness and umami taste of the fish. This is spot on!

We forgot why we ordered this steamed chicken but it is pretty tasty. They served it with soy chili sauce though instead of the usual acidic chili sauce.

Steamed Fish Head with Fermented Soy Bean is another popular dish here. If you want a heavier taste, you must order this. However, do taste the Steamed Fish Head with Garlic and Ginger and steamed chicken first as this comes with stronger taste. The fish head is steamed to perfection and the fermented soy bean sauce is strong but it is very flavourful.

Overall, the steamed fish head at Chong Yen is very fresh and the taste is up to expectation. Their food prices here are reasonable. Now, you know why their regular customers keep coming back for more.
