Don Quijote Dotonbori Osaka
Don Quijote Dotonbori Osaka
We all know that Don Quijote or Don Don Donki will be opening their first outlet in Malaysia at Lot 10. You can read it at https://www.placesandfoods.com/2020/07/don-don-donki-is-opening-in-kl.html. Well, what is inside the largest discount store in Japan? Check out this Don Don Donki outlet of Don Quijote Dotonbori Osaka.
The Don Quijote Dotonbori Osaka is located near the famous ‘running man’ of Osaka. It is just a couple of shops away from the iconic Glico Man Osaka.
You can easily spot the huge ferris wheel on top of the building and that is the Don Quijote Dotonbori Osaka. The famous Ichiran ramen is just a few shops next to it and hence you can spot the long queue.
There are many Don Quijote outlets in Japan and they sell almost everything from clothing to toys, electronics, food and more. It depends how big the outlet and how many items they offer.
What we usually get is Ichiran Ramen instant noodles, Calbee Cereals, Calbee Snacks, Meiji Chocolates, toys and sometimes other things that we feel it is cheap to buy.
For those who are looking for Champion Apparels, they have it at Don Quijote Dotonbori Osaka but the designs are usually quite conservative.
There are the snacks and food section, most of the staffs working at Don Quijote Dotonbori Osaka can speak simple English.
The other levels offer different items, there are a directory near the escalator and elevator.
There is also the adults section and usually you can find many interesting items there. If you never enter an adult shop in Japan, this is the place you can visit discreetly.
For those who are into cosplay, there are many costumes up for sale. We regretted not to take more photos of Don Quijote Dotonbori Osaka so during our next trip to Japan, we will take at least few dozens more.
All the times are tax free for tourists and when you when you hit 5,000 Yen in total. They will advise you visit the ‘Tax Free’ counter and they will pack it and sealed it for you. You need to bring your passport for the ‘tax free’ redemption. You are not allowed to open the sealed package until you reach Malaysia.
We usually carry an empty luggage for shopping items at Don Quijote. Some of the snacks can take quite a lot of spaces so an empty luggage will be nice to carry bag home to Malaysia.
There will be two Don Don Donki or Don Quijote outlets opening in Malaysia this year. Will announce once we have more information. Read all our stories about Osaka at https://www.placesandfoods.com/category/japan/japan-osaka
