Hana Tei Japanese Restaurant is probably one of the best Japanese restaurants in Kajang and Semenyih area. There are not many Japanese restaurants in this two areas so there are not many choices. There is only Papa Sushi (for takeaway) in Semenyih and Sushi Mentai in Kajang with total of three Japanese restaurants in both areas.

 The Hana Tei Japanese Restaurant is located at No.21 & 22, Jalan KP 1/2, Taman Kajang Prima near the Fortuna Seafood Restaurant. There are plenty of parking spaces at the empty area opposite the shop so parking is not an issue.

Hana Tei Japanese Restaurant Kajang is popular for their sashimi as well as their Australian Wagyu Beef. We ordered some sushi, temaki, udon and unagi don. We were there dinner with our boys.

Egg with Mentai sauce sushi and prawn with mentai sauce sushi. The price is per piece so it is not cheap yeah. As you can see from the photo, the size of the egg omelette and the prawn is reasonably large and it comes with the savoury tasty mentai sauce. The boys loved the sushi.

Spider Temaki (RM 8)

Hand roll with soft shell crab. Crispy seaweed with crispy deep fried soft shell crab, this is delicious.

This is Australian striploin beef slices udon. We love the marbling of the beef and the Australian striploin taste really well. The udon is springy in texture and it goes really well with the beef.

This is unagi don or grilled eel with teriyaki sauce on rice. This comes with a big fat piece of unagi with the rice. Kids usually love this as it is sweet while the unagi is soft in texture. Just take note that there might be tiny bones sometimes.

Overall, the food is good and the price point might be a bit high for this part of Klang Valley for many residence here. It is simple, you pay what you get. If you want Australian striploin, then you have to pay for it. There is no cheap Australian beef, even there is it will be scary right.
