Noodle by GD Taste Pearl Avenue Kajang

This is one of the few restaurants we frequently visit in Kajang. The name of the shop is called Noodle 面 by GD Taste. They offer kopitiam style food which include wantan noodles, curry noodles, hakka noodles, pan mee, toast and more.

For some unknown reasons, we always passed by this restaurant without noticing it. As it is located next to Sushi Mentai, we missed out this restaurant for so many years.

The Noodle by GD Taste is located at Pearl Avenue Kajang, same row with CIMB Bank and Sushi Mentai. There are plenty of parking spaces at this part of Pearl Avenue.

The restaurant is fully air-conditioned with typical marble tables and wooden chairs. The owner knew us when they went there for the first time. Apparently, we read our blog and noticed us when we dine there for the first time. We usually bring our family as our boys loved the food and the drink there.

We visited the restaurant every weekend before COVID-19 and we had tasted their wantan noodles, pan mee, sam kan chong (pork noodles), hakka noodles, curry noodles, dry curry noodles, toast and more.

The prices of their noodles or rice is around RM 10 per plate but the portion is generous so we always feel worthwhile dining here. Pre COVID-19, this restaurant is often packed with regular customers for breakfast, brunch and lunch. They usually close after lunch time.

Their drinks are equally good especially their ‘cham’ (kopi/tea) and white coffee. We usually order the toast set as it comes with generous amount of butter and kaya and our boys loved it.

For the wantan mee, you have options for char siew, siew yoke or char siew. The noodles are quite generous and it is springy in texture and we loved the taste.

The curry noodles come with char siew, tau fu pok, pig’s skin and thick curry sauce.

The dry curry noodles is our favourite as the thick curry sauce poured on top of the egg noodles with chicken and potato. Once you tried this, you will come back for more.

Overall, what you pay is what you get. The food here is consistently good, service is good and this is the reason we frequently dine at Noodle by GD Taste Pearl Avenue Kajang.

The last time we went there, they were badly hit by the MCO 2.0 and we hope that after that more people support small restaurants and businesses like Noodle by GD Taste Pearl Avenue Kajang.

During this MCO 2.0, please take care of yourself, be safe and follow the SOP. Wear mask at all times, wash your hands frequently and do not touch your face. We have to beat this COVID-19 and hopefully things back to normal this year. Kita jaga kita!
