The best smartphone in 2021 and it is the Samsung Galaxy S21 Ultra 5G and it is now available in Malaysia. After watching the Galaxy S21 Unpacked Live Stream on Samsung Malaysia’s Youtube Channel last week, we were pretty excited about the new Samsung premium flagship smartphone. We manage to get the Samsung Galaxy S21 Ultra 5G yesterday and time for unboxing review.

The first impression of Samsung Galaxy S21 Ultra 5G

This is 6.8 inch screen and it feels big at first but you will get a good grip thanks to the aluminium side. The screen is flat and less curvy on the side.

The front glass is CORNING® GORILLA® GLASS VICTUS™. This is the toughest Gorilla Glass in a smartphone so it minimizes scratches but we highly recommend for a screen protector.

The Samsung Galaxy S21 Ultra 5G Malaysia comes with Exynos 2100 chipset as the Snapdragon 888 chipset is for US and China only.

There is only two buttons on the right side of the phone which is the sound and power button which is pretty good design as we don’t prefer phone with too many buttons.

There is no external storage capability means you don’t need micro-SD anymore and there is a good reason for that, the 8K video. Many people didn’t know that external micro-SD storage can slowed the performance of the smartphone especially if you are planning to shoot on 8k videos.

It support dual nano sim card and the slot is at the bottom of the phone next to the speaker and also the USB Type C slot.

It does not come with the earphone jack and that is the main reason there are no earphones in the box and if you pre-order starting 1:00am, 15 January till 28^th January 2021, you will get a free Galaxy Buds Pro and Galaxy Smart Tag worth a total of RM 918.

The back panel of the Samsung Galaxy S21 Ultra is made of premium plastic. We prefer this than their back glass panel and this feels like matte metal and the Phantom Black colour is really cool and wicked! It is hard to get the finger print on the plastic matte back panel as we tried it many times.

The most talked about design of Samsung Galaxy S21 Ultra will be the design of the back camera design. It comes with three camera and it looks quite cool.

For the charger, we are using our old Samsung Galaxy S10 Plus Charger and we also have a couple of fast wireless charger at home so it is not an issue for us.

Lastly, Samsung Galaxy S21 Ultra 5G Malaysia is priced at RM 5,899. This is the premium flagship smartphone and the price is more affordable than the previous flagship model.
