Princeps Bistro The Stories of Taman Tunku
Princeps Bistro The Stories of Taman Tunku
Time to share some of the new places we ventured during the recent school holiday. This is Princeps Bistro located inside The Stories of Taman Tunku (Kenny Hills). The new bistro is opened recently and it is recommended by our friends.
This area is always packed especially Kenny Hills Bakers. We highly recommend you to reserve your table at Princeps Bistro in advance as the bistro is usually packed. You can try walk in but you might have to wait, just make a call for reservation.
The Princeps Bistro is located at the corner of The Stories of Taman Tunku. If you have been to this part of KL, you know parking is free here but the challenge is to get one during peak hours is tough.
We were there for weekday brunch with our friends and kids and it was packed. We sat outdoor so we can enjoy the view.
These are their menu so you can take a look for the options they offer, it’s a very typical Western cuisine with breakfast, pasta, sandwiches, main courses and desserts.
They also serve coffee and tea in their drink menu. We ordered their ‘magic’ coffee and maybe we will order their tea or green tea on our next visit.
We ordered the club sandwich, cheese gnocci and pan seared chicken leg, three dishes for four persons.
Their version of club sandwich comes with chicken ham, boiled egg, lettuce, tomatoes, cheddar cheese, swiss cheese, sesame dressing with straight cut fries.
The portion of the club sandwich is good, they are generous in their ingredients. Our boys love the taste of this especially the cheese and the fries are crispy and addictive.
Bowl of cheese gnocchi with mozzarella cheese, parmesan cheese, beef bacon and truffle oil. Gnocchi is basically the Italian version of dumpling.
You can see many people ordering this as this is one of their signature. This comes with generous amount of cheese and it is really tasty. The truffle oil enhance the aroma of the gnocchi and the kids enjoyed this.
This is pan seared chicken leg comes with honey mustard sauce and sautéed creamed vegetables. We love the creamy honey mustard sauce and the side sautéed vegetables.
For the portion, it is a chicken leg so for the price it is expensive. The taste of the chicken is alright with the creamy sauce but would love a bigger portion.
This magic is basically combination of piccolo and ristretto or some people called it piccolo latte (correct us if this is wrong). In short, the taste of the magic is stronger than the usual latte and we truly enjoyed it.
Overall, we enjoyed the food at Princeps Bistro The Stories of Taman Tunku. We recommend the Cheese Gnocchi and Princeps Club Sandwich with their ‘magic’ coffee if you plan to visit Princeps Bistro The Stories of Taman Tunku. Please make a reservation rather than trying your luck to walk in as this place is packed with people.
