Hospitalized For The First Time
Hospitalized For The First Time
First of all, I am thankful for all the best wishes on the messages, comments, whatsapp messages and calls for my hospital operation yesterday. Secondly, I do not have COVID-19 as I just did the test earlier this week before hospitalized for the first time yesterday. Thirdly, I would like to say sorry for posting my hospital photo yesterday as it trouble my family as many of my friends and relatives called my wife and my parents.
I just want to post this so everyone knows what’s happening to me. For the past week or two, I have been in and out after finding out the kidney stone obstructing the ureter. Ureter is basically the tube in between my kidney and bladder. As the kidney stone obstructing the ureter, my kidney got swollen and I was adviced for the procedure called the ureteroscopy and laser stone fragmentation. Basically, they will insert a camera and destroy the stone with laser thru my ‘bird bird’.
After a few urologist consultation, I decided to fix the issue fast even even though I have no pains on my back or urine yet. My kidney got swollen so I need to fix it within 4-6 weeks time frame.
In short, I was hospitalized for the first time yesterday at UM Specialist Centre and I was operated by Urologist Professor Dr Azad Hassan Abdul Razak as recommended by my doctor friend Dato’ Dr. Mohamed Rafi of Hospital Umra.
The operation went smooth and I have discharged and resting at home now. I would like to thank all the nurses at UMSC Wad Orkid for taking care of me and also Anaesthesiology Dr Lim Siu Min (if not mistaken) for explaining the whole anesthetic procedure.
I will be writing a long post about the kidney stone another day as I will be taking a nap at home right now.
Thanks again for all the concern, I am better now at home after the medication. This is the reason I got hospitalized for the first time in my life. Please take care of your health and I will blog about the kidney stone story next time. Sorry for the drama on the social media and if you have any questions on the kidney stone, please message me.
Get well soon.
