This is a popular chicken rice restaurant in Taman Melaka Baru, Melaka. It is called the Restoran Wilson Chicken Rice and it has nothing to do with me yeah. We went to this chicken rice restaurant in one of our visits to Melaka with our family.
The Restoran Wilson Chicken Rice is a corner lot restaurant and located at No 2, Jalan Melaka Baru 20, Taman Melaka Baru. They are open from 10 am to 8 pm and usually crowded during peak hours.
They offer two types of chicken, roasted chicken and Hainanese style chicken. Hence, they also offer roasted eggs and tofu as side dishes.
This is like the neighbourhood chicken rice restaurant and you can find many people coming in for dine in as well as take away.
We didn’t order the roast chicken, only order their version of Hainanese chicken with chicken glizzard. While the presentation might look quite messy, the chicken is actually tasty and the texture of the meat is tender.
We also ordered the braised tofu and eggs as side dishes and they are well cooked, immense with flavor and goes well with their chicken rice.
Overall, you can find comfort food here. This is Melaka style chicken rice and please take note we didn’t order the roast chicken. The food prices here are reasonable and hence it could be the reason why it is so popular among the locals here.
