This is the Tiger Head Brand Heong Peah Biscuit or 虎头标香饼 马蹄酥 from Teluk Intan Perak Malaysia. Since we are in total lockdown so we will be reviewing more food products especially our local Malaysian food products. This is the famous heong peah (heong peng) from Tiger Head Brand of Teluk Intan Perak and this is our review.

Tiger Head Brand Heong Peah Biscuit come with the new pink packaging and there are 8 pieces. This is 300 gram and each heong peah are individually packed.
This is the back packaging and it is HALAL certified. The Tiger Head Brand has been around since 1962 so they are very established in Teluk Intan.
The outer layer is topped with sesame and the crust is very crispy. Remember to eat it with a plate as it can be very messy when you bite it.
Inside the heong peah biscuit is the sweet sticky filling made from cherry molasses, malt and sesame mixture fillings. As you can see from the picture, the crust is very crispy while the filling is sweet and sticky. What we like about the Tiger Head Brand Heong Peah Biscuit is the fragrant and the filling is not that sweet. Unlike the typical heong peah which offers hard texture, the Tiger Head Brand Heong Peah Biscuit actually softer in texture while the filling is not that sticky too.
Overall, the Tiger Head Brand Heong Peah Biscuit offers a better taste and texture. With the individual wrapper, you don’t need a container to keep it.
