Ko Samui To Reopen on 15 July 2021

We just received this and Thailand Prime Minister General Prayuth Chan-o-cha has approved the plan submitted by Tourism Authority of Thailand (TAT) to certain major tourist cities in Thailand. To international visitors who have been fully vaccinated against the COVID-19 virus and who have tested negative upon arriving in the country. Apart from Phuket, the other approved plan includes Ko Samui, Ko Phan-ngan and Kotao in Surat Thai. Ko Samui To Reopen on 15 July 2021.

This is confirmed by the letter from Governor of TAT to tourism industry friends dated 23 June 2021 as below.

Here are some of the key information for Ko Samui To Reopen on 15 July 2021.

International visitors who have been fully vaccinated against the COVID-19 virus and who have tested negative upon arriving in the country.

If Ko Samui is the visitor’s first point of stay in Thailand, he/she must remain on Ko Samui for at least 14 nights before moving to other destinations in Thailand or other countries.

From 15 july to 30 September 2021, visitors can take the sealed routes for tourism purposes on Ko Samui and to Ko Phangan and Ko Tao.

From 1 October 2021, visitors can travel freely on those islands without quarantine.
