Ali Muthu and Ah Hock Opens at IOI City Mall Putrajaya

For the past couple months, times are toughs for retails and restaurants in shopping malls due to the MCO (Movement Control Order). There are quite a number of restaurants closed in many malls around the country. This is same applies to some restaurants at IOI City Mall Putrajaya. The Penang Little Café closed just a few months ago and it was replaced by the famous Ali, Muthu and Ah Hock and it is a big hit at IOI City Mall Putrajaya.

Ali, Muthu and Ah Hock Opens at IOI City Mall Putrajaya last month and before I had the chance to visit the restaurant, I got COVID-19 and quarantined at MAEPS for 12 days. In my life, I only visited Ali, Muthu and Ah Hock once and hence I was excited to know that they opened at IOI City Mall Putrajaya which is near my home.

The good news is Ali, Muthu and Ah Hock Opens at IOI City Mall Putrajaya but the bad news is it is packed from 10 am till late lunch. Recently, I went to Ali, Muthu and Ah Hock for dinner and I went there before 5 pm.

Since it was odd hour, there were empty tables but most of the food were sold out. Looking at their menu, their famous nasi lemak ayam goreng, the chicken chop and food were sold out.

Hence, we only managed to order Lontong and Mee Goreng Muthu. Looks like I might need to revisit Ali, Muthu and Ah Hock again during weekdays when it was less busy for their nasi lemak.

Their Lontong comes with egg, sambal squid with generous amount of curry. The curry is immense with the santan, not so spicy and rich in texture. On top of rice, it comes with carrot, ‘tong fun’, tempeh and more. This is generous bowl of lontong with lots of ingredients and creamy coconut curry flavour.

Mee goreng muthu is similar to the usual mee goreng mamak. Their version of mee goreng mamak comes with tofu, prawn and chicken. To be honest, I love this mee goreng muthu. The taste and texture of this mee goreng mamak is spot on and I don’t mind coming back for this.

I ordered their Iced Cham, not so sweet and not strong flavour but it is enjoyable. Sometimes, we don’t need really sweet drinks so this is spot on.

I am looking forward to revisit Ali, Muthu and Ah Hock at IOI City Mall Putrajaya. I will update if I revisit them in the near future. I just want to review their nasi lemak and their chicken chop, feel a bit geram not tasting it for such a long time.
