How Malaysians apply to travel to Thailand

Time to talk about traveling to Thailand. For the past two weeks, everyone is talking about traveling to Thailand. Start from today, Malaysians can apply to travel to Thailand and I am going to explain the steps. How Malaysians apply to travel to Thailand?

Firstly, you need to visit the Thailand Pass website at https://tp.consular.go.th/. Click Non-Thais and it will prompt you what to do next.

There are three plans to choose and they are ‘Exemption from Quarantine (Test and Go), Sandbox Programmed and Alternative Quarantine’.

For Malaysians, please choose the Exemption from Quarantine (Test and Go) and you can ignore the other two plans.

Malaysians are travelers from eligible countries and exempted from quarantine after testing negative for COVID-19 (RT-PCR) after arrival in Thailand.

You must be fully vaccinated against COVID-19 no less than 14 days before traveling and this covers all the vaccines in Malaysia.

You must obtain a negative COVID-19 test result (RT-PCR) issued within 72 hours before traveling.

Important documents include Passport, Certificate of Vaccination, Paid AQ / SHA+ hotel reservation confirmation (for the duration of 1 day and including the fee for one RT-PCR test) and Insurance with minimum coverage of 50,000 USD.

Malaysians can travel to Thailand via air travel only. Border crossing is still not allowed and still in talks until further notice.
