We have been to both borders and Wang Kelian is the least popular border as it is from Perlis to Satun as not many people familiar with this province. Previously, Wang Kelian was ‘borderless’ and you can cross to Satun near the border without passport. For that reason, many locals and tourists will visit this land border for shopping or to stamp their passport.

For Bukit Kayu Hitam, this is the most popular border and traffic jam can take up to four hours during festive season before pandemic. Many locals will visit Dannok Sadao for the weekend while many will drive up to Hatyai for a few night stay.
