Thailand Pass Land Travel Border Rules
This is the latest information we can get from Thailand Pass website and this is the land border rules using the ‘Test & Go’ program. Yesterday, prime minister announced that Malaysia land borders will open on 1st April 2022 and everyone is still waiting for the full standard operating procedure (SOP).
We know many people are curious for the 15 March 2022 Malaysia Thailand VTL and we are still waiting for the full details and SOP for that.
Since the latest announcement is the Malaysian borders opening on 1 April 2022, let’s take that date as the most possible date for Thailand land travel / border travel.
Let us remind everyone that Thailand Sadao Border is currently open but Malaysian border is NOT. This is the reason why you can pick the date of ‘Test & Go’ through Sadao Border at this time.
Here are the Thailand Pass Land Travel Border Rules – ‘Test & Go’

Another gentle reminder that this Thailand Pass Land Travel Border Rules might change if there is VT agreement from both countries. If not, Malaysians will have to follow Test & Go rules except there is new rules from Thailand government.
Since there are friends and followers asked me about the COVID insurance, you can purchase it at: https://direct.axa.co.th/TA-Inbound/CoverageOptionPlan
The price of the COVID insurance is not that expensive as they lowered down the coverage of 20,000 USD.
Travel insurance is always important even pre-pandemic times. We usually purchased annual travel insurance in the past as we travel every month abroad.
Just to let everyone knows that our friend got COVID-19 when he travelled to Phuket last December and he was covered by the COVID-19 insurance. The insurance is to protect you from burning your wallet if anything happens in Thailand.
This is the latest Thailand Pass Land Travel Border Rules we can get for now and it is subjected to Sadao Border (Danok).
