This is my second time visiting La Vela Khao Lak Resort and the resort has gone thru huge transformation since the first time. This is my first time staying at La Vela Family Room and I have no expectation of it. Since the rooms were fully booked, I didn’t manage to book their suite and hence I stayed at the family room.
The family room is bigger than expected and it is not just impressive but practical. It comes 1 King Size Bed and 1 Queen Size bed.
The beauty is there is a sliding door separating the King and Queen bed making it becomes two rooms and more privacy.
The same goes to the bathroom that comes with a bathtub and you can use the sliding door to partition it for privacy.

The room offers more than the usual basic amenities with a bigger fridge, huge luggage area, working desk and a spacious balcony.
The swimming pool and kids pool is just below the property and there are pool access family room at a slightly higher price.
Here are some of things you should know. Most rooms come with free breakfast, the resort offers FREE WIFI, fitness center, free welcome drinks, coffee, tea and mineral water.
Khao Lak is around 90 minutes away from Phuket International Airport and you can request a hotel transfer for a fee.
The resort is quite fun due to its design and it offers surf skating area, swimming pool, kids pool and beach area. This is the reason why I highly recommend families to stay at La Vela Family Room in Khao Lak.
The La Vela Family Room is affordable, clean, spacious and the breakfast is good while there are many activities for family. You can spend quality times at the resort with your family and don’t forget to visit their spa for some relaxing times.
I will recommend a 3 days 2 nights stay at La Vela Khao Lak or more if you want some quality times you can stay for longer days. There are other activities around Khao Lak such as hiking, bamboo rafting, surfing as well trying out local good that is even listed under the Michelin Guide Thailand.
