The Karak Highway Traffic Jam
I went to Genting Highlands a few days ago, on Friday as I wanted to stay one night at Gohtong Jaya for fun. From my place, it is usually takes around 90 minutes to reach Gohtong Jaya but on Friday, Google Map shows two hours. Knowing the massive traffic Jam from Gombak Toll to Genting Highlands Karak Highway, I took the risk of going to Gohtong Jaya.
It took me more than one hour to reach Gombak and it still shows two hours to reach Gohtong Jaya, Genting Highlands via Karak highway.
Hence, I rerouted to the backway which is Gombak – Batu Caves – Ulu Yam – Gohtong Jaya for 90 minutes. That makes the trip longer but at least it is still moving and I saved at least 30 minutes of traveling time.
It was supposed to be a nightmare as the Massive traffic Jam from Gombak Toll to Genting Highlands Karak Highway and it turns to be an accidental road trip to the Ulu Yam.
It turns out to be a smooth drive, lots of turns and the kids loved it. On top of that, they love the scenery as they said it is an adventure in the jungle.
We reached at Gohtong Jaya on time, stayed one night and go back to KL on the next day.

The traffic jam started from Friday until Saturday and I checked this morning, it is no longer traffic jam. Everyone can travel easily to Genting Highlands, Bentong or Karak via Karak Highway today.
