It is the time of the year again and Mid Autumn Festival is around the corner. This is our first mid autumn mooncake story of the year and this is from Corus Hotel KL. We went to check out the Mid Autumn Mooncake 2022 by Corus Hotel KL recently and it was better than expected.
The art of preparing baked mooncakes have been practiced and perfected while using the freshest local ingredients such as extra virgin coconut oil and pandanus leaves amongst others to present you the most delectable and exquisite taste mooncakes this season.

Let us share our honest reviews. Of all the six mooncakes, we loved Tropical Emerald, Matcha Mochi Azuki and Shanghai Lava Yolk.
Tropical Emerald uses coconut instead of egg yolk and the overall taste is pretty good and this is something new to us.
Matcha Mochi Azuki is using green tea and mochi in the mooncake. What we love about this is the different texture due to the mocha and the green tea is not too sweet either. Something unique and different than the normal mooncakes.
The Shanghai Lava Yolk is nicely done. The crust, the paste and the egg yolk, this is so good and we can’t stop having this.
