Pepper Lunch opens at KL EAST Mall

Are you a big fan of Pepper Lunch? The DIY (Do-It-Yourself) restaurant just opened at KL EAST Mall recently. For those who are new to Pepper Lunch, they are originated from Japan.

Pepper Lunch is a pork free restaurant and currently they are at KL East Mall, Genting Sky Avenue, I-City and coming soon at Cameron Highlands.

We recently visited Pepper Lunch at KL EAST Mall for food review and we ordered six items. They are:

1.Meat Trio Deluxe

2.Jumbo Beef Pepper Rice

3.Seafood Aglio Olio

4.Cheesy Omelette with Beef (Brown)

5.Scallop & Prawn Curry Rice

6.Teriyaki chicken with Egg

The beauty of Pepper lunch is the DIY which is quite fun for everyone. The concept of Pepper lunch is to serve quality fast food for the customers to be the chef.  The hot plate can maintain its heat for 20 minutes. This means the hot plate cooks the meal first and then keep the food warm.

Meat Trio Deluxe comes with sausage, beef and chicken with French beans and corn. It is complement with rice. If you want to try all the meat at once, you should order the meat trio deluxe. It depends on your preferences on how you want to cook the beef.

Cheesy Omelette with Beef. The omelette is similar to Japanese ‘omu rice’ and this comes with the gorgeous beef strips. The cheesy sauce will add on for that creamy sauce that makes you crave for more.

Scallop and prawn curry rice is for those who prefers seafood. Bite size scallops and prawns with the white rice and drowned with the Japanese style curry, this feels like dining in Japan.

Seafood Aglio Olio is simple and the kids loved it.

Teriyaki Chicken with Egg is quite similar to Teppanyaki Chicken with additional egg. What we like about this is the texture of the chicken and the taste.

Lastly, we had the Jumbo Beef Pepper Rice for beef lovers. Look at the amount of the beef and pepper. This is as good as it looks and how well the beef is cook depends on you.

Overall, we enjoy the food and it brings some memories of having Japanese food in Japan. If you ca visit Japan for food, maybe try visiting Pepper Lunch and now they opens at KL EAST Mall.
