Finally, we revisited Fatt Hei Len Restaurant at Taman Tayton View Cheras. We visited this Chinese restaurant before the pandemic and revisited the restaurant recently and they expanded to two shop lots. We were there for our aunt’s Birthday and she loves the food at Fatt Hei Len Restaurant Taman Tayton View Cheras.

Fatt Hei Len Restaurant is located at 8, Jalan 30a/119, Taman Tayton View Cheras. It is pretty hidden from the main road and their regular customers are usually from the neighbourhood and it is often packed.

It is a fully air-conditioned Chinese restaurant and please make a reservation if you plan to visit the restaurant during the weekend.

As soon as we were seated, the waiter told us that we better order first as there were a lot of people and hence we ordered most food based on their recommendations.

We ordered ‘Kung Po’ Chicken, Claypot Fish with Yellow wine, Yam Basket with Salted Egg Mantis Prawn, Signature Tofu with Minced Meat and Two Styles Pork Ribs.

‘Kung Po’ Chicken. We seldom order Kung Po Chicken as it is not an easy dish to cook. To get the right taste with the right flavour is hard and the kung po chicken here is up to expectation.

The chicken strips are tender and it is coated with that flavourful ‘kung po’ sauce that is addictive and goes very well with rice.

Claypot Fish with Yellow wine is their signature this. It comes in a claypot and when they lift the lid, you can instantly detect the smell and aroma of the yellow wine.

The fish is steamed with perfection. The texture of the fish and the taste is immense with the ginger and wine taste. This dish is a must order at Fatt Hei Len Restaurant Taman Tayton View Cheras.

 Yam Basket with Salted Egg Mantis Prawn is ordered for the kids. The mantis prawn is deep fried to crispiness and it comes with the golden colour salted egg sauce. This dish looks so golden in picture and the taste is as good as it looks. The yam is flaky while the mantis prawn is crispy and tasty.

Signature Tofu with Minced Meat is their signature dish. Within the soft huge piece of tofu, there is a layer of minced meat. Together with the sauce, this is very enjoyable and the kids loved this.

Two Styles Pork Ribs is Marmite Pork Ribs with Salad Pork Ribs. You can choose your style of cooking of two pork ribs, mix and match. From the picture, you can tell the pork ribs are savoury, it is very tender and very addictive too.

At the end of the day, we realised that we didn’t order any vegetable dish. On top of that, most dishes are very savoury and hence we enjoyed the dinner. The food at Fatt Hei Len Restaurant Taman Tayton View Cheras is still as good as it used to be and the food prices here are very reasonable. We will come back for more!
