We have been going to different Chinese restaurants in Cheras, Kajang and Semenyih for our blog. There will be many new Chinese restaurants reviews coming soon. Just now, we went to Sam Steam Fish at Cheras Batu 11 and they also offer yong tau fu in their menu.

Sam Steam Fish Head is located at 21 G, Jalan Cheras Maju Batu 11, Pusat Perniagaan Cheras Maju, Selangor, 43200 Balakong. It is hidden from the main road of Batu 11, just use the Google Map and you can easily find the restaurant. They have been around for 12 years and many customers are their regulars.

They open for lunch and dinner and their specialty is steamed fish head as well as yong tau fu. We went there for dinner for the first time and we were impressed.

We ordered their Signature Fish Head with bean paste. This is ‘Song’ Fish and it comes with fish maw.

The fish head is steamed to perfection and the taste of the bean sauce is savory and tasty. This complements well with the white rice. For Song Fish, it comes with tiny bones so becareful of it.

For their yong tau fu, it is priced at RM 2 per piece. You pick what you want and they will mixed it with the minced meat and deep fried on the spot.

Some of the food available are ‘fu chuk’, taufu pok, dumpling, brinjal, bitter gourd, chili and tofu. Pick what you want, they will mix it with minced meat (fish and pork) and deep fried it.

Since it is freshly made and deep fried, make sure you wait for at least 10 minutes or you might get sore throat on the next day.

The yong tau fu is probably one of the best we tasted for some time. What we love about their yong tau fu is freshness, the portion as well as the taste.

We ordered more than 20 pieces of yong tau fu and we ordered more as we fell in love with it. Even our parents agreed that their yong tau fu is fresh and tasty.

Even the soup is flavorful and tasty. Our parents enjoyed it very much and they are planning to come again. Rice is unlimited free flow.

Overall, the taste of the food at Sam Steam Fish Head Cheras Batu 11 is very good and their food prices are very reasonable. It was packed during our visit just now and we will come back for more.
