This is probably a hidden gem for tourist but not for locals. Kedai Kopi Kheng Juan Hin has been around for decades and they are located at 1183, Jalan Limbongan, Kampung Limbongan, Melaka.

The wooden kopitiam by the roadside is packed from early in the morning and you can see long queue outside of the shop looking for tables.

We were very lucky to get one table after a five minutes wait. We got our boys to sit down as we ordered most of the food from their stalls.

Kedai Kopi Kheng Juan Hin Kampung Limbongan Melaka is famous for the Butter Kaya Toast. The other food many people ordered are Nasi Lemak Bungkus, Chicken Rice and Curry Mee.

Curry Mee is quite basic with sliced fish cake, taufupok, taugeh (beansprout) and egg. It doesn’t come with siham (cockles) and that a bit disappointing. For the taste, it is pretty decent and it is quite enjoyable.

Chicken Rice is worth to order. Please prepare to wait as they are quite popular at this kopitiam. What we like is the chicken as well as the chicken rice balls.

The chicken rice balls are bite size and the kids loved it. The chicken is smooth and tender and we ordered a second plate of this.

The nasi lemak bungkus is one of the most popular food here. It is price at RM 1.50 and it is actually nasi lemak kangkung. The sambal is spicy, the rice is fragrant and you can’t complain for that price.

The butter kaya toast is the best we had so far. This takes a while as they take time to toast the bread.

It comes with generous amount of butter and kaya and this is so good. The richness and sweetness of the kaya and butter elevates the taste of the toast. You can see the kaya sauce is dripping and this is the best.

The kopi here is not bad also and Kedai Kopi Kheng Juan Hin Kampung Limbongan Melaka is indefinitely the place for breakfast. Come early to avoid the crowd and please be patient when looking for table or food. Kedai Kopi Kheng Juan Hin Kampung Limbongan is a hidden gem for breakfast in Melaka.
