R-haan Restaurant The Wisdom of Sustainable Winter Season Samrub
Time to share our experience dining at R-haan Restaurant in Bangkok this year with their new menu, The Wisdom of Sustainable Winter Season Samrub. This is our second visit to R-haan and you can read our first visit experience at: https://www.placesandfoods.com/2022/12/my-first-time-visiting-2-michelin-star-restaurant.html
R-Haan’ means ‘something consumed for sustenance’, but the truth is that the restaurant offers far more than eating just for survival. According to their website, the roots of R-Haan can be derived from an old Thai proverb, ‘‘Nai nam mee pla, nai na mee kao” (“There is fish in the water and rice in the fields.”) The proverb speaks to the fact that Thailand has an abundance of incredible ingredients and food sources.
What is different now is R-haan opened a sister restaurant nearby and it is called Waan Thai. Waan Thai served unique Thai food and dessert and they are open for breakfast, brunch, lunch and tea time. Our review at: https://www.placesandfoods.com/2023/04/waan-thai-restaurant-bangkok.html
During this visit, we manage to meet up with Chef Chumpol. Coincidentally, he knows Chef Wan in person and hence asked us to send regards to our famous Malaysian chef.
R-haan is one of the few Michelin 2 Star restaurants in Bangkok and Thailand. Table reservation is needed as the restaurant is often packed with customers. Dinner starts from 6pm and expect the The Wisdom of Sustainable Winter Season Samrub course to take up to 3 hours of dining experience.
The Wisdom of Sustainable Winter Season Samrub is R-haan 2023 menu and they changed menu from time to time. Now, they are offering The Wisdom of Sustainable Summer Season Samrub and soon the Rainy Season Samrub.
