We were recommended to this dessert restaurant Jae Wan in Bangkok by friends staying in Bangkok. Jae Wan is popular about the locals especially students as it is near Chulalongkorn University. Furthermore, we got to know Jae Wan dessert restaurant got viral was visited by Blackpink Lisa.

This Viral Dessert Restaurant Jae Wan is located at 1700 ถนน บรรทัดทอง Khwaeng Rong Muang, Khet Pathum Wan near Samyan (Chinatown) as well as Chulalongkorn University. They are open from 1.30pm until 11.30pm except closed on Sunday.

We were very lucky as there was no queue during our visit. The Jae Wan dessert restaurant is a simple looking restaurant with aluminium tables and chairs with no air con.

If you look at their menu, the prices here are quite reasonable and hence many locals come to this place including Blackpink Lisa.

The dessert here is Thai / Chinese style and they use soy bean milk as base as well as using their home made beancurd.

We tried four desserts and the taste is quite different than the usual Thai desserts. The taste of the soybean is less sweet and it has the hints of burnt after taste (correct us if we are wrong).

In a way, you expect sweet Thai dessert but it is not the case. This is rather enjoyable while it won’t offer you the sugar rush. There are many unique combinations on the menu that you can try.
