U.S. Potatoes Celebrate World Nutrition Day with Fuel for the Future
Our boys love eating potatoes especially French Fries. On top of that, potatoes are always tasty even you boiled, baked or steamed it. There are so many nutrition you can have by eating potatoes. That’s why US Potatoes Celebrate World Nutrition Day with Fuel for the Future.
This year’s theme for World of Nutrition Day is “Fuel For The Future” which encourages us to learn about making informed food choices and developing healthful eating and physical activity habits. In conjunction of World Nutrition Day, we will share more about the benefits of taking U.S Potatoes and the recipe with it.
You can do healthy diet with U.S Potatoes. We are not joking, you can actually diet with U.S Potatoes. Do you know that U.S. Potato (medium size) provides 110 calories of easy-to-digest calories and it also has zero cholesterol, zero sodium and zero fat. Potatoes were a life-saving food source. It contains 26 grams of carbohydrates and are our body and brain’s main source of energy. It keeps me energized all day long.
Beside that U.S potatoes are rich in Vitamin C that help to boost our body immune system, Vitamin B6 is important for proper cell function and helps with metabolism. And potatoes also has 3 grams of plant-based protein per serving. Protein is important building blocks that help to build and repair muscles, bones, skin and connective tissues.
As we know potatoes also contain potassium but how much potassium in one medium potatoes? One medium potatoes contains 620 milligrams of potassium that helps regulate fluids and mineral balance in and out of cells, maintain normal blood pressure, vital for transmitting nerve impulses or signals, and in helping muscles contract.

Ready Time: 40 Minutes
Ingredients:-
400gm Fresh US Potato Russett
100gm Parmesan Cheese
50gm Unsalted Butter
20gm Salt
5gm Pepper
Asian BBQ Sauce1tbsp Soy Sauce
1tsp Brown Sugar
1tsp Ginger(minced)
1 tsp Garlic (minced)
1 tsp Sriracha Sauce
1 tsp Sesame Oil
Preparation
Standby a medium size mixing bowl
Mix all the Asian BBQ Sauce ingredients and mix together. Set aside
Standby and Japanese mandolin and or slicer. Set the slicer thickness to 3mm
Using the mandolin, slice the potato into the desired thickness. Place the slice potato inside the mixing bowl. Once all the potato is slice, mixed it with the melted butter and seasoning.
Using a baking tray, arrange the potato slice layered by layered. Once all the layered is done, brush it with the Asian BBQ Sauce
Sprinkle the parmesan cheese on top of the layered potato.
Preheat the oven to 356°F (180°C). Baked the potato for 25 minutes.
