Unboxing the Samsung Galaxy S24 Ultra
The wait is over! The Samsung Galaxy S24 Ultra is finally here, and I’m diving into the box to see what this new phone is all about. Let’s see if the S24 Ultra lives up to the hype. I might not be the first to review this and I won’t be the last. Let’s do a quick Samsung Galaxy S24 Ultra review.
What’s in the Box?
Samsung keeps things pretty standard in the box. You will get the phone itself, a USB-C cable (but no charger, which seems to be the trend these days), a SIM card ejector tool, and some basic paperwork. That’s all most users will need, but it’s worth noting the lack of extras like headphones or a case.
First Impressions
The box itself is familiar sleek Samsung style, with minimal branding. Opening it up, you will be greeted first by the phone itself, nestled snugly in its protective tray. Lifting it out, the phone feels substantial – it’s definitely a big phone, but not uncomfortable to hold thanks to the flatter design compared to previous Ultra models. This is a welcome change for those who found the curved screens awkward. The new titanium frame (exclusive to the Ultra this year) feels luxurious and adds a touch of weight that some users might prefer.
Taking a Closer Look
The S24 Ultra boasts a massive 6.8-inch display, this time with uniform bezels thanks to the ditching of the curved edges. The display is gorgeous, sharp, and bright, perfect for watching videos or gaming. Flipping the phone over, I see the familiar rear camera bump, though with a new lens layout that hints at exciting camera improvements (which I’ll be testing soon).
Powering On
Booting up the phone is a breeze. The setup process is familiar to anyone who’s used a Samsung phone before. One thing to note is the inclusion of the new Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 processor, which promises blazing-fast performance. I’ll be putting that to the test in a future post.
Early Thoughts
So far, the S24 Ultra is shaping up to be an impressive phone. The flat design is a welcome change, the build quality feels top-notch, and the display is stunning. We’re excited to dig deeper and test out all the new features, especially the camera. Stay tuned for our full review coming soon!
The Samsung Galaxy S24 Ultra feels lighter but in actual fact it is not. It is the design with the better grip makes it feels lighter.
I am using the Samsung Galaxy S24 Ultra at the moment and will do a more comprehensive review including the new functions of AI.
