Restoran Sin Kee Brickfields
Restoran Sin Kee Brickfields
I posted the video of Restoran Sin Kee Brickfields on my Facebook Page, Tiktok and Instagram some time ago and I had many feedbacks and comments. Most comments are positive while some are subjective but I appreciate all the comments.
Restoran Sin Kee is a household name in Brickfields. Opened since 1968 with over 50 years in business, they are popular with their simple Hainanese food. They are located on the main road of Jalan Tun Sambanthan and near KL Sentral. You can find parking spaces at paid parking lots and please don’t double park on the roadside as this is on the main road.
I was recommended to this restaurant by my father in law and he frequently visited this place for their popular pork chop. I went to this restaurant with the family as we wanted to check out their other food.😂
We went on the weekend and hence their popular pork chop was sold out so we ordered:
✔️Hainanese Chicken Chop.
✔️Sweet & Sour Pork Rice
✔️Fried Rice
✔️ Mum Fan (Braised Rice)
✔️Fried Mee.
This is just one of the many casual family dining on weekends. I will usually have dinners with family at different places in Klang Valley. Now, lets talk about the food I ordered.
Hainanese Chicken Chop. This is a classic Hainanese Chicken Chop that comes with lots of gravy, baked beans, fried potato, onion and cucumber. You get the tender chicken thigh meat with all the flavours from the gravy and my boys loved it.
Sweet & Sour Pork Rice. You know this is for the kids but adults love this too. If you are looking for a tasty sweet and sour pork rice, this is the place to go. Love the crispy outer layer pork immense with the savoury sauce.
Fried Rice. Is this better than Uncle Roger’s fried rice? Yes of course. This is another classic fried rice that is simple and yet delicious. The fried rice comes with wok hei, right flavour and you will come back for more.
Mum Fan (Braised Rice). This is not my cup of tea but the flavour is there and it is hard to find braised rice cooked right like this.
Fried Mee. I am not a big fan of this type of fried mee / noodles but my wife enjoyed this.
They offer comfort food with traditional taste, simple and satisfying! Food prices here are reasonable with generous portion, we enjoy the food here and will come back for more.
Restoran Sin Kee Brickfields opens for lunch and dinner and closed on Mondays and Tuesdays.
