We were told that the chef was formerly working at one of the Bangkok 5 star Hotel. His team is running the kitchen of NAPA Thai Cuisine Taman Sri Hartamas.
This is what we ordered for dinner and we noticed that they have changed their menu and hence the fish and rice dishes is no longer available.
Cha Nom Yen – NAPA Thai milk tea topped with torched Thai meringue and egg yolk angel hair. Love the texture of the egg yolk angel hair to the normal ‘cha yen’.
Som Chun – Lychee, lime pandan syrup smoothies, pomegranate, ginger, shallot crisps
Khao Pad Poo – Surat Thani crab fried rice with spring onion, garlic, and coriander. No longer in their menu right now and this is really tasty, the kids enjoyed this.
Pla Tod Lui Suan – Fried fish with fresh herbal green mango salad, peanut, lime, chilies. If you read the ingredients, this is miang kham with fried fish. The interesting is the flavours complement the fried fish well but this is no longer available.
Geaung Phed Ped Yang – 84 hour marinated duck breast pan seared in red curry with pineapple, lychee, cherry tomatoes, Thai basil. We first thought this is ordinary but the taste of the curry is really flavourful while the duck is so tender, you will come back again just for this.
Khao Niew Ma Muang – NAPA modern Thai dessert mango and warm sweet coconut sticky rice, coconut cream sauce, egg yolk, angel hair, almond praline. A twist to the usual mango sticky rice and their version elevates the taste to another level.
Napa Thai is committed to using only the freshest ingredients and traditional Thai cooking methods. This dedication to quality ensures that every dish is bursting with flavor and authenticity.
Whether you’re a seasoned Thai food enthusiast or a curious newcomer, Napa Thai offers an unforgettable culinary adventure. Indulge in the bold flavors, aromatic spices, and vibrant atmosphere of Thailand, all without leaving your neighborhood.
Overall, we love the food here as it represents chef’s creativity in representing the dishes. I love the fried fish with salad as it is unique and yet delicious. The pricing of the food here is slightly high but justified with the ambiance and location. The service here is good and will come back again one day.
