Langkawi Sky Glide Temporarily Out of Service and Tourist Passed Out

This is an update on the Sky Glide in Langkawi. This popular tourist attraction in Langkawi, the Sky Glide, has been temporarily out of service due to maintenance issue and they are still waiting for their parts from supplier. This unexpected closure has left many visitors disappointed, as the SkyGlide is a key component of the Langkawi Sky Cab experience, offering breathtaking views of the surrounding rainforest and the iconic Sky Bridge.

The Sky Glide is a glass-floored elevator that takes visitors from the top station of the Langkawi Sky Cab to the Sky Bridge. It offers a unique and thrilling perspective of the lush rainforest canopy below.

Visitors have to pay to use the Sky Glide as well as access to the Sky Bridge. Due to maintenance, the Sky Glide has closed for almost a month as I asked the working staff there.

While the Sky Glide is out of service, visitors can still access the Sky Bridge via the SkyTrail, a scenic jungle trail. However, this alternative route may not be suitable for everyone, especially those with limited mobility or elderly or people with health condition.

It is not a hard trail but it could be difficult for elderly or people with health condition. During our visit, a female tourist passed out while climbing up the stairs.

Kudos to the working staffs who were swiftly in offering assistance to the lady. When we exiting the area, we saw an ambulance stationed there for standby. During the incident, they closed the entrance to the Sky Trail so the medical team could assist her.

Remember to walk on your own pace and paused if you have difficulty in breathing. Walk on your own pace and do not worry about the other people. Safety first.

If you are planning to take the Langkawi Sky Glide, please ask the ticketing counter. During our visit, they informed us that the Sky Glide is out of service. Overall, we enjoyed our experience at Sky Bridge and the kids have no problem going through the Sky Trail.

A gentle reminder and beware of the monkeys near Sky Bridge and if you are lucky, you might spot the eagle as well as creepers like snake on the Sky Trail. For now, the Sky Glide has been temporarily out of service due to maintenance issue.
