A Family Staycation at the Conrad Bangkok

Bangkok, a city buzzing with energy, street food aromas, and vibrant culture, might not be the first place that springs to mind for a relaxing family staycation. Nestled amidst the city’s dynamic heart lies the Conrad Bangkok, an oasis of calm and luxury that proved to be the perfect escape for our family.

We were looking for a weekend getaway that offered something for everyone: a touch of indulgence for the adults, fun activities for the kids, and a central location for exploring (or, in our case, simply relaxing!). The Conrad Bangkok ticked all the boxes and then some.

Luxury and Comfort for the Whole Family:

From the moment we stepped into the grand lobby, we were greeted with warm Thai hospitality. Our spacious connecting rooms was a haven of comfort, featuring plush bedding, a separate living area, and stunning city views.

The kids were thrilled with the welcome amenities, including adorable elephant-toy and a selection of kid-friendly treats.

Executive Lounge Access

The lounge is located on the 29^th floor and offers impressive views of the city.

It offers complimentary food and beverage from breakfast, afternoon tea and evening cocktails.

If you want more privacy, you can have breakfast at Executive Lounge instead of the restaurant. There is also all day access to soft drinks, tea, coffee and snacks.

The family loves to hang out at Conrad Bangkok Executive Lounge as it offers a great ambiance, great small bites and welcoming atmosphere.

Poolside Paradise and Kid-Friendly Fun:

The highlight for the kids (and honestly, for us too!) was the stunning outdoor pool. Surrounded by lush greenery, it felt like a tropical escape in the middle of the city. The kids splashed and played for hours, while we relaxed on comfortable loungers, enjoying refreshing drinks and snacks from the poolside bar.

The Conrad Bangkok also offers a dedicated kids’ club, which, while we didn’t utilize fully, looked incredibly well-equipped with activities and games. This is a great option for parents looking for a little downtime.

Culinary Delights for Every Palate:

The hotel boasts a variety of dining options, catering to diverse tastes. We indulged in a delicious breakfast buffet at Cafe@2, featuring a vast selection of international and Thai dishes. The kids were particularly fond of the pancake station and the freshly squeezed juices.

For dinner, we opted for a relaxed meal at Liu, the hotel’s Cantonese restaurant.

We had our family dinner there and we ordered Peking Duck, Shrimp Roll, Taro Puff, Sweet and Sour Prawn, Kurobuta Pork Rib, Seafood Fried Rice and Mango Pudding.

The food was exquisite, and the staff were incredibly attentive, ensuring the kids were well-fed and happy. My family enjoyed and loved the food here.

Exploring Bangkok near Conrad Bangkok:

The Conrad Bangkok’s location is ideal for exploring the city. It’s connected to the All Seasons Place complex, offering easy access to shops and restaurants. The Phloen Chit BTS Skytrain station is also just a short walk away, making it convenient to reach popular attractions. You don’t need to walk as Conrad Bangkok offers shuttle buses to the station and back, check the schedule at the lobby.

However, we decided to embrace the “staycation” aspect and primarily enjoyed the hotel’s amenities. We did venture out for a quick stroll to a nearby park and indulged in some delicious street food, but mostly, we relished the opportunity to relax and reconnect as a family.
