We recently had a family staycation at The Landmark Bangkok, you can read it all below at Five Reasons to Stay in Landmark Hotel Bangkok.
Discover 7 Live Cooking Theaters, offering a diverse range of cuisines including Western, Japanese, Asian, Grilled Seafood, Thai, and Desserts. The restaurant is huge and remember to take your time to slowly discover all the different sections and cuisines available.
Some of the highlights of the Atrium buffet at the Landmark Bangkok hotel.
Charcoal Grilled River Prawn. This is a must order and each comes with large size. This can easily cost around 700 THB if you order in a normal restaurant in Bangkok. What I love about the river prawn is the freshness, the texture and the natural flavor of the prawn. I always love the smoky after taste of the grilled river prawn.
Steamed Crab Roe with Fresh Milk. This is actually taste pretty unique and I enjoyed it as it is creamy and fresh.
Marinated Crab Roe with homemade fish sauce. I have seen this in Chinatown Bangkok / Yaowarat but never have the courage to try it until today. The taste is quite strong and it is new to me. In short, not my cup of tea.
Fresh Korean Oyster. To be honest, this is my first time trying Korean oyster. Usually what we have in Malaysia is the cheap local oysters or the good ones from America, UK or Australia. I have been to the oyster farms in Australia and the Korean oyster is quite comparable in terms of taste or texture. These fresh Korean oysters comes with creamy texture that you will ask for more, if you are oyster lover.
BBQ Pork Spare Rib with Corn Cream Cheese. Honestly, you can complain about pork spare rib that is cooked to perfection. The taste and texture is good and it complements well with the creamy cream cheese sauce.
Spaghetti Cheese Wheel. This one is my kids’s favourite dish. Pasta cooked in the cheese well and it comes with intense cheese flavor and once you start, you won’t stop having this.
Capelini River Prawn Tom Yum Espuma. This is a fusion dish using the extra size prawns with tom yum sauce. I love the egg roe that offers that hints of crunchiness texture while I love the tom yum sauce with that huge fresh river prawn.
Steamed Scallop Curry Custard. For some reason, I thought this is the otak otak. The taste is similar but it comes with huge steamed scallop. Yums.
Not forgetting also seafood on ice, local food, Asian food and also their desserts. There are too many things to mention in this blogpost. You have to visit Atrium Buffet at Landmark Bangkok to check it out yourself!
