From our experience, not all the snacks are good (even though its Japanese snacks). One of the best snacks / biscuits you can get in Okinawa is Ishigakijima SUN Farm Pineapple Langue de Chat.
Okinawa is tropical island and if you check the Google Map, it is nearer to Taiwan than Japan. Due to its location, the islands of Okinawa is popular for their fruits productions. One of their popular fruit is pineapple.
When we reached Naha International Airport, we found ourselves in the duty free shops in the airport after having lunch in the one of the local restaurants. There is one pop-up booth offering is Ishigakijima SUN Farm Pineapple Langue de Chat.
They gave us some sample to try and it is really tasty. The is Ishigakijima SUN Farm Pineapple Langue de Chat is thin with aromatic pineapple filling. The biscuit is light with crispy texture and it is made from Tida Peneapple from Ishigaki Island. This comes with beautiful packaging too.
The problem is it was our first day in Okinawa and hence, we promise ourselves to get it on our last day in Okinawa while on the way back to Malaysia.
To our horror, the is Ishigakijima SUN Farm Pineapple Langue de Chat was there only for a week. It was a pop-up stand that happened for one week and no one else is selling.
